Advanced Visualization Centre (AVC) the DX-Design Exchange Ground Floor, Toronto
This project involved the ground floor renovation of Toronto’s Design Exchange to include a 25 seat theatre housing the institutions state of the art Advanced Visualization Centre.

Network Child Care Centre, Bloor & Landsdowne, Toronto
Completed in 2003, this project serves the child care needs of the local community. It offers 24 Pre-school spaces and 15 Toddler Spaces in a “fun” and “colourful” environment.


Renovations to St. Irene’s Orthodox Church, Toronto
Originally, this building was a large mechanic’s garage. Purchased by the congregation in the 70’s, it finally received a major renovation in 2003. The flat roof was replaced with a shaped basilica style roof, and updates were made to all systems.

From 1993 to 2004 Dimitri Papatheodorou was an associate and lead design architect with HCA ARCHITECTURE Incorporated Architects. The firm’s projects involve new construction and rehabilitating existing properties with scope varying from $250k to $50Million. For several years, Dimitri Papatheodorou worked with Paul Reuber Incorporated Architect on such projects as:

Moss Park Community Redevelopment Plan, Toronto
Massey Centre for Women, Toronto
Robert Cooke and Lakeshore Gardens Co-ops, Etobicoke
Ascot Downs Co-operatives, Etobicoke
Rosedale Community Co-op, Toronto

Dimitri Papatheodorou contributed to the design work of several established architectural firms in Toronto. From 1988 to 1993 he was engaged in the development of a few noteworthy Housing Projects with Paul Reuber Incorporated Architect; the Moss Park Community Redevelopment Project, for example, included a plan to infill an existing 1000 unit housing super-block with 225 new family grade-related units and revamping the lobbies and common spaces of 4 high-rise buildings. Moss Park was unique in that the tenants formed a working committee which successfully worked with the Architects in designing a strategy to deal with the diverse concerns of a complex community.
